What is DMA?

DMA, or Direct Memory Access, is a feature in computer systems that allows certain hardware components—such as network cards, sound cards, or storage devices—to transfer data directly to the system’s memory without involving the central processing unit (CPU). This capability improves data transfer efficiency and frees up the CPU to handle other tasks, thereby enhancing overall system performance. DMA is especially beneficial for high-speed data transfers and real-time applications.

Is Firmware Necessary?

Yes, firmware is essential for the proper functioning of the card. All our cards come with custom built firmware. We do not offer or sell ‘pooled’ firmware.

How Can I Check System Compatibility?

To ensure compatibility, your motherboard needs to support a PCIe slot and have an available one. Typically, PCIe slots are situated below the graphics card. You can verify this by checking your motherboard specifications or consulting your computer’s manual.

Which DMA Card Should I Choose?

For a budget-friendly option, go with the 35T. If you’re willing to invest more for better performance and newer technology, the 75T is recommended.

What Are the Minimum Specifications for My Second Computer?

Your second computer should have a USB 3.0 port and at least 6GB of RAM. We recommend at least 16gb with at least a N095 CPU.

Why Do I Get the Tiny PCIe TLP Algorithm Error During Speed Tests?

This error occurs because the motherboard in your main PC may not be compatible with the DMA firmware’s configuration space.
